How to add 10x's script to Google Tag Manager
Design
Instructions for adding our tracking script via Google Tag Manager.
1. Copy the 10x Script
First, make sure you have the 10x script available.
2. Sign in to Google Tag Manager
Head over to Google Tag Manager.
Log in using your account credentials.
Choose the correct account and container associated with your website.
3. Set Up a New Tag
On the Google Tag Manager dashboard, click on Tags in the left-hand menu.
Press the New button to create a fresh tag.
Give the tag a recognizable name, such as "10x Script," to easily identify it later.
Click on Tag Configuration to select the type of tag you need.
From the tag types, choose Custom HTML.
4. Insert the Script
In the HTML section that appears, paste the script code you copied from 10x.
5. Configure the Trigger
Below the HTML section, click Triggering.
Select the All Pages trigger so the script will be applied site-wide, across all pages of your website. This trigger type is often used for scripts like analytics or widgets that need to run on every page.
6. Save and Publish the Tag
Press Save at the top right corner to save the tag setup.
Once saved, you’ll return to the main workspace.
To activate the tag on your site, you need to publish it.
Click Submit at the top right of the dashboard.
In the submission dialog box, give this version a name (e.g., "Added 10x Script") and add any relevant notes.
Finally, hit Publish to apply the changes live.
Remember, after saving your tag, you must click Publish to activate it on your site.
